Le Corbusier’s Cabanon inspires Kinematic Apartment
March 21st, 2009
Le Corbusier is know as one of the most influential architects that ever lived. In 1952 he designed and built for himself a holiday retreat that is a high quality example of minimal living and just over half the size of the Kinematic Apartment!
The beach hut Cabanon, which is only 15sqm, has been reconstructed this month within the RIBA gallery to tie in with the Barbican’s major exhibition on Le Corbusier’ life and work.

Design4D to launch the Chronetik Process
February 15th, 2009
Design4D was founded in order to provide an alternative humanistic response to the current sculptural approaches to architecture. It is our belief that much current architecture fails to adequately explore the fourth dimension of time in the design process leading to a static and unsustainable built environment.
Influenced by the teachings of the late Cedric Price we are currently refining our ‘Chronetik Process’ of design which has already led to many unique solutions including the internationally published Kinematic Apartment.
